Building Regulations

All loft conversions will need to secure building regulation approval. This is to ensure the alterations being made meet regulatory standards, guaranteeing the health and safety of the property’s inhabitants.

Full loft conversion designs and plans must be submitted to either your local authority or an approved independent building control body. Site inspections will be made by the relevant Building Control Officer to check the work meets requirements.

Once they are satisfied that your loft conversion meets the set Building Control Regulations, a completion letter along with a certificate will be forwarded to you.
